RMR Ecommerce Director Job Description

The RMR Ecommerce Director will be responsible for managing and developing online sales channels and digital marketing strategy. Working with our sales team, marketing, and graphics, the Ecommerce Director will strive to facilitate a user-friendly online experience for our customers, prioritizing customer shopping flow, product education, customer acquisition and retention. The applicant will also work with the team to develop online sales and email campaigns, flexible with inventory and sales needs. 


  • 3 years ecommerce and marketing job experience 
  • 2 years experience with Shopify 
  • Experience in email platforms and ability to use advanced functions in Klaviyo
  • Website design and building ability
  • Sound understanding of Google ads, shopping, and SEO
  • Experience with advertising in facebook and instagram
  • Understanding of youtube ads and optimization 

Preferred Skills:

  • Web design/custom coding
  • Adwords and SEO experience 
  • Graphic design 
  • Understanding and appreciation of the paddling world 
  • Adobe creative suite literate 


  • Plan with marketing/creative director a yearly promotional calendar
  • Communicate blog/video/content needs to be written/made by creative
  • Use RMR content to create email flows
  • Segment email lists with custom content 
  • Work with creative/marketing director on social campaigns, boosts, ads 
  • Manage social and youtube sales/ads channels
  • Website updates/design
  • Create customer-friendly website pages
  • Update website products, descriptions, optimize suggested products and add-ons
  • Integrate customer education pieces (blogs/videos) throughout appropriate product pages
  • Provide monthly reporting with feedback to the team on where to focus development
  • Continuously updating SEO on website
  • Audit website and optimize speed 

Other Requirements: 

  • Ability to work in-house in Oak Hill, WV is preferred 
  • If only able to remote work, candidate must be available for the majority of east coast business hours
  • Have reliable high-speed home internet
