SB-120 12' Self-Bailing Raft
Compact enough to stay playful. Big enough to bring the crew. The RMR SB-120 is a 12-foot self-bailing raft built for paddlers who want a traditional whitewater platform without stepping into a larger, heavier boat. Its 18-inch tubes keep you close to the water, while the longer hull adds stability, tracking, and room compared with RMR's smaller whitewater rafts.
A Small Raft That Still Has Room
The SB-120 sits in a useful middle ground between RMR's compact play boats and its larger expedition-capable SB models. At 12 feet long and 6'2" wide, it gives you more room and stability than a Storm while staying compact enough to remain responsive on technical water.
Three removable thwarts come standard. The boat can be paddled with a small crew and is compact enough for serious R2 use, while still offering room for up to six paddlers when needed. If six adults will be the normal crew rather than the occasional crew, RMR recommends stepping up to the SB-130 for additional buoyancy and space.
Traditional I-Beam Whitewater Floor
The SB-120 uses a self-bailing I-beam floor for the familiar feel of a traditional whitewater raft. Welded I-beams create the floor structure while water drains through the self-bailing floor system.
This is the SB-120 to choose when whitewater performance and a conventional raft floor are higher priorities than creating a firm standing platform for fishing.
Built for Paddle Crews or a Frame
The SB-120 works as a paddle raft, but the 12-foot platform is also well suited to a compact rowing setup. RMR offers a dedicated 12-foot frame package for paddlers who want to turn the raft into an oar rig.

SB-120 vs. SB-130
The SB-120 is the better fit when compact size and maneuverability matter more than maximum crew and gear capacity.
The SB-130 adds another foot of boat and additional buoyancy, making it the better choice when larger crews, more gear, or frequent multi-purpose use will be the norm. RMR specifically recommends considering the SB-130 if you expect to carry six adults regularly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is the SB-120 best for?
The SB-120 is a strong choice for paddlers who want a compact all-around whitewater raft with more stability and usable room than RMR's smaller models. It works especially well for small paddle crews, R2 use, day trips, compact frame setups, and occasional overnight use.
Can six people fit in the SB-120?
RMR states that the SB-120 can accommodate up to six paddlers. If six adults will be aboard regularly, RMR recommends the SB-130 for increased buoyancy and additional room.
Should I buy the SB-120 or SB-130?
Choose the SB-120 when you value a smaller, more compact platform. Choose the SB-130 when you expect to carry more people or gear regularly and want a little more all-around capacity.
What is the difference between the SB-120 and SBDS-120?
The primary difference is the floor. The SB-120 uses a traditional self-bailing I-beam floor. The SBDS-120 uses a firmer drop-stitch floor designed to provide a flatter standing surface, more floor rigidity, and additional appeal for fishing and gear-heavy use.
Is the I-beam floor good for whitewater?
Yes. The I-beam floor is RMR's traditional whitewater floor design and is a strong fit for paddlers who prioritize conventional raft handling and moving-water use.
Can I fish from the I-beam SB-120?
Yes. An I-beam raft can still be used for fishing. The drop-stitch version is worth considering when a firmer, flatter standing surface is a major priority.
Can I put a rowing frame on the SB-120?
Yes. RMR offers a dedicated 12-foot frame package for the SB-120 and SBDS-120. The 12-foot platform makes a compact oar rig for paddlers who want to row as well as paddle.
How many thwarts come with the SB-120?
Three removable thwarts are included. They use RMR's lace-free RTA Rapid Thwart Attachment system.
What warranty does the SB-120 have?
RMR lists a 6-year retail and 3-year commercial warranty on workmanship and materials, subject to the manufacturer's complete warranty terms.
How much is shipping?
