How do the payments work for RMR Layaway?

• Pay 20% of the total cost as a down payment to reserve your item and lock in the price.
• The remaining 4 payments will be billed monthly.
• Shipping fees and taxes (if any) will be charged with your final payment.
• You can manage your Layaway plan through your invoice portal. You can update your payment method, pay the next scheduled payment early, settle overdue payments, and pay off the remaining balance anytime for earlier delivery.

How are my payments calculated?

Your Layaway payments are calculated by dividing the total price of the item, excluding tax and shipping fees, into 5 payments. The first payment reserves your item and starts your Layaway plan. See the example below for an item that costs $649.

July 15                     $129.80 (20%) + shipping and tax

What happens if I miss a scheduled payment?

We will notify you via email. If payment is not received before the next scheduled payment, we will automatically cancel the Layaway plan, restock that item, and all money paid will be credited towards a future purchase. If the outstanding balance is paid prior to the next scheduled payment, the plan will become current. 

Can I pay off my Layaway plan early?

Yes! At any point you can pay the remaining balance by going to your invoice portal. Please reach out to sales@rockymountainrafts.com to have shipping added to your invoice if paying early. Once the balance is paid in full, your order will be shipped based on the shipping option you selected when placing your Layaway order. 

What happens if I lose the link to my invoice portal? 

Please reach out to sales@rockymountainrafts.com and we will resend your link.

How does shipping work with RMR Layaway?

Standard shipping costs apply and will be charged with the final payment. 

Is RMR Layaway available for my address?

RMR Layaway is currently not available for orders shipping to CT, DC, MD, and outside of the US.

How long will it take me to receive the product once I finish paying for it?

As soon as your final payment is received, we will prepare your purchase for shipment and provide you with a tracking number and delivery estimate.

Can I return items purchased through Layaway after I receive them?

Yes. RMR’s standard return policies apply to your Layaway purchase after the items have shipped. 

Is RMR Layaway really free?

Yes. There are no interest charges, late fees, sign-up fees, or service charges for using this payment option.
