DRT Double River Tube
Two seats. One tube. Nobody floats away with the cooler. The RMR DRT Double River Tube permanently joins two 44-inch river-tube positions side-by-side, giving you room for a second person, your dog, a cooler, or whatever deserves to stay within arm's reach all day.
Double the River Tube
The DRT takes RMR's 44-inch river-tube format and connects two units side-by-side into one permanent setup.
That means two riders can float together without constantly trying to reconnect separate tubes. It also gives a solo rider a dedicated second position for a dog, cooler, or other river-day gear.
RMR specifically designed the two sides to stay together. They are securely attached and do not separate into individual tubes.
You + Whoever Gets the Other Seat
The obvious setup is two people, but that isn't the only reason to choose the DRT.
RMR specifically calls out a partner, dog, or cooler as options for the second position. For a solo floater, that turns the DRT into a simple way to keep something important beside you instead of towing or chasing a second independent tube.
Built Like RMR's Single River Tubes
The DRT uses the same construction approach as RMR's single river-tube family: heavy-duty 33 oz / 1100-denier PVC with welded seams.
RMR developed its tube lineup by scaling down the materials and welding approach used in its larger river inflatables. The result is river gear intended for repeated use instead of the thin vinyl construction commonly associated with inexpensive recreational tubes.
DRT vs. Two Separate RTR-44 Tubes
Two individual RTR-44s give each person an independent tube. The DRT solves a different problem.
Choose the DRT when staying together is the point. The two 44-inch positions are permanently connected, so your partner, dog, or cooler stays directly beside you.
Choose separate RTR-44 tubes when each person wants the freedom to float independently.
DRT vs. the Single RMR River Tubes
The DRT is the social option in the RMR tube lineup.
The RTR models are traditional symmetrical single tubes. The RTD River Recliners use a tapered shape for more lounging support. The DRT connects two 44-inch positions into one permanent tandem-style platform.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many people can use the DRT Double River Tube?
The DRT consists of two 44-inch river-tube positions joined side-by-side and is designed around two-person floating. RMR also specifically suggests using the second position for a dog or cooler.
Do the two sides separate into individual tubes?
No. RMR states that the two 44-inch tube units are securely attached and do not come apart.
Can one person use the DRT alone?
Yes. RMR specifically suggests using the second position for a dog or cooler, making the DRT useful even when only one person is riding.
Can my dog ride in the second side?
RMR specifically lists a dog as one possible use for the second position. Actual suitability depends on your dog's size and behavior, river conditions, and appropriate safety equipment.
Can I use the second side for a cooler?
Yes. RMR specifically calls out carrying a cooler in the second position, keeping it directly beside the rider instead of on a separate floating tube.
Why buy the DRT instead of two separate RTR-44 tubes?
The DRT keeps both 44-inch positions permanently connected. It makes sense when you want two riders or a rider and their gear to remain together. Separate RTR-44 tubes are better when independent movement is more important.
What is the difference between the DRT, RTR, and RTD?
The DRT is RMR's permanently connected double tube. RTR models are symmetrical single river tubes, while RTD River Recliners are tapered single tubes with a lower front and taller rear for a more reclined seating position.
What is the DRT made from?
RMR's river-tube lineup uses heavy-duty 33 oz / 1100-denier PVC with welded seams.
Is the DRT designed for river use?
Yes. RMR builds its river-tube family for river floating and moving-water use. Appropriate river conditions, flotation equipment, and user ability should always determine where the tube is used.
Does the DRT include a pump?
No. A pump is not included.
What warranty does the DRT have?
RMR's river-tube family carries a 2-year warranty, subject to the manufacturer's complete warranty terms.
