Sawyer DuraMax oar Blade
A durable composite whitewater blade built around fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene. The Sawyer DuraMax uses a 7" × 30" blade and Tite-Set connection for a practical interchangeable blade compatible with Sawyer PoleCat and MXS shafts.
Fiberglass-Reinforced Polypropylene
Sawyer high-pressure molds the DuraMax from a custom-formulated fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene. The material is designed to provide a combination of strength, flex, rebound, and durability for whitewater rowing.
7" × 30" Whitewater Blade
The DuraMax measures 7 inches wide by 30 inches long. Sawyer lists an average blade weight of approximately 3 pounds.
Tite-Set Blade Lock
The DuraMax uses Sawyer's Tite-Set Blade Lock connection. The system creates a secure removable connection between the blade and compatible oar shaft while allowing the blade to be changed when needed.
