Sawyer Dynelite Oar Blade
Sawyer's lightweight whitewater-proven oar blade, built from carbon fiber over a laminated Douglas fir core. The DyneLite combines composite reinforcement, wood construction, a marine-grade finish, and Dynel/Kevlar Pro-Tip protection in interchangeable Narrow and Wide blade profiles.
Carbon Fiber Over Laminated Douglas Fir
The DyneLite starts with a laminated Douglas fir core. Sawyer lays carbon fiber over the wood core to produce a blade designed to be stiff, tough, and exceptionally light.
The finished wood-and-carbon construction is sealed with marine-grade varnish.
Dynel & Kevlar Pro-Tip Protection
The blade edges are reinforced with Dynel, while Sawyer's Kevlar/Dynel Pro-Tip adds protection at the blade tip where contact with rocks and the riverbed can occur.
Narrow or Wide
RMR offers the standard 30-inch DyneLite in two blade widths.
- Narrow: 6" W × 30" L
- Wide: 7" W × 30" L
The two options let you choose the blade profile you prefer without changing the underlying DyneLite construction.
Tite-Set Connection
Sawyer's Tite-Set Blade Lock provides the removable connection between the blade and compatible shaft. RMR lists the DyneLite as compatible with PoleCat, MXS, and other compatible composite shafts.
